Melelana Dance is offering a 6 week Intro to Tahitian course starting September 13, 2023.
The purpose of the class is to familiarize students with the mechanics of basic Tahitian dance steps & hand movements. The class will cover: Basic steps, vocabulary, implement use, and costuming.
An introductory choreography for performance will be taught.
Comfortable clothing is recommended. Students may bring their favorite pareo (sarong) to wear in class if they choose. A limited supply will be available for purchase on the first day of class.
Location: Kemp Mill Elementary School in the All Purpose room*
Date/Time: Wednesday evenings from 7:30-8:30pm

The cost is $75. Registration is available using this link. Please register early. This class will have a minimum registration requirement to proceed. If I don’t receive the minimum number of registrations, I may have to cancel.

*The All-purpose room is located to the rear of the building on the first floor. Enter the front double doors, continue straight up the ramp toward the back of the building. At the top of the ramp, turn right and you will see the entrance to the all purpose room on the right.
