Dance Classes & Lessons

Melelana Dance offers both group and private classes in Hula, Tahitian and Maori poi spinning. Private classes are available for adults and teens 14+ in our Silver Spring in-home studio or DC metro area venue of your choice (your home, community center, school). Virtual classes are also available on Zoom.

Gaithersburg, MD Group Hula classes (in person) for adult age 12+ are available through the City of Gaithersburg Department of Recreation. The next session will be Fall 2024. Details regarding scheduling, location, pricing and registration can be made here.

Wheaton, MD Group Hula classes (in person) for adults age 14+ are available through Montgomery County Department of Recreation. There is no Summer session for 2024. Check back for information regarding Fall Session for 2024. Classes are held at the Wheaton Community Center located at 11701 Georgia Avenue. Wheaton, MD. Rockville, MD 55+ Group Hula classes (intermediate) for adults 55+ are available through Holiday Park Senior Center. The new session begins in Fall, 2024. Classes are 1pm-1:50pm. Contact Holiday Park Senior Center for details.

Wheaton, MD Group Ori Tahiti : New group classes start Fall 2024. Contact me for details or to get on the mailing list for classes. Sessions are 50 minutes in length, held weekly for 6 weeks.
